Breakdown policies which fix your car at home

Most basic breakdown recovery policies do not include breakdowns which happen at home, for example when your car won't start in the morning.  You can however extend your policy to include this cover.  While it may be called a different name by each provider they all do effectively the same thing.  Names used by breakdown companies include the following:

the AA - At Home
RAC - At Home
Green Flag - Cover at Home
Breakdown Direct - Home Starter
GEM Motoring Assist - Home Assistance

As you can see despite the variety, no-one uses home start cover which is what the policy is normally referred to by the general public!
